My Story - Hodgkin's Lymphoma

I might sound crazy when I say this, but I’m glad I had Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Don’t get me wrong - I don’t ever want it to come back, and I’m very thankful that I was able to beat it…but I truly believe the whole experience made me a better person.

I learned patience.

I learned that attitude has a lot to do with how situations work out.

I realized just how much people care about me – I can’t even begin to tell you how lucky I am to have such amazing family and friends.

And it’s strange, but sometimes it takes a big sack of bricks hitting you square in the face to realize what you’re capable of – to wake you up to your own life.
